Eddie joined Bedfordshire Youth Orchestra where he was lucky enough to be coached by Christopher Larkin and Brendan Thomas. In 2008 he was a member of the World Youth Orchestra and toured Italy and Slovenia and was also the principal horn of the CBSO Youth Orchestra & Academy. After completing his undergraduate degree at the Royal Academy of Music, Eddie was offered a scholarship to attend the Royal College of Music where he completed his masters degree. His studies were funded with generous support from the MBF and Countess of Munster Trust.
Eddie frequently performs with a variety of different orchestras and ensembles throughout the UK including; the Philharmonia
Orchestra, Dartington Festival Orchestra, Birmingham Festival Orchestra and the Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra. He has also been involved in a number of performances broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and on international radio.
Away from the concert hall, Eddie also performs with a number of jazz ensembles; including NYJO and the Engines Orchestra, the latter having released their debut album ‘Lifecycles’. He has also performed alongside electronic/ambient musician Loscil as part of the ‘Possibly Colliding’ event at the Barbican. He is also active in brass music; frequently performing with the world famous Oompah Brass as well as his own ensemble - J5OBrass.
Eddie is in demand as an arranger, teacher and conductor. He is heavily involved in music education throughout Bedfordshire and St Albans and has been the Music Director of the Enfield Community Orchestra since 2017.
